In Worcester a new centre for ex-servicemen had a grand opening. The centre was opened at 1:30pm and is located at 26 Sansome Walk, Worcester. It shares the venue with Aspie. Storm troopers gathered on the road outside to mark the occasion and here are some pictures of the event...
After the opening the event carried on in the Chestnut pub with a live band and a charity auction. Lots inside the auction included 3 very rare Pink Floyd records all signed and the Tommy Atkins managed to exceed their £2,000 target
The Tommy Atkins centre is open every Tuesday and Thursday at 26 Sansome Walk in Worcester from 9:30-3:30pm and it provides various support for veterans in the community.
Lisa Whittaker will be providing therapeutic support working with PTSD and trauma for veterans at the Tommy Atkins centre and contributing to group work.
